Ivaylo Getov

Cinematographer

Born in Bulgaria and raised in Los Angeles, Ivaylo Getov is now rounding out his third year in NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Kanbar Institute of Film and Television. Following a heavy involvement in theatre and photography, he is now concentrating on Cinematography, including film and digital work. After a grueling semester in which he shot four short narrative films on 16mm and directed one of his own, Ivaylo is taking a break from New York City to pursue documentary filmmaking for a semester in Havana, Cuba, at the prestigious Instituto Cubano del Arte e Industria Cinematograficos.
